Instant Oatmeal Jars for an Easy Breakfast

Instant Oatmeal Jars for an Easy Breakfast

Are you a morning person? Much less a breakfast person? Well, I’m not! I normally skip breakfast but I’ve been told on numerous occasions that skipping breakfast is pretty bad for you. So! I’m doing better. And if you’re like me, you should too. And that’s where instant oatmeal jars come in.

I first came upon this idea while hunting for easy breakfast options outside of my everyday smoothies and I must say, they’re an absolute life saver. There is almost no prep for this because if I’m being quite honest, I usually roll off my bed half hour before I need to be out the door. Which means, I have very little time to prepare and eat something. That’s what make these so perfect. I get up, pour hot almond milk in the jar, get ready and voila! By time I’m done with my makeup, I have breakfast all ready!

I usually pour half out to have for breakfast and leave the rest in the fridge for an evening snack. You can add your choice of nuts, seeds and sweeteners to your liking but I prefer simpler, mushier oats. If you like more crunch, add your nuts and so right before eating. Another popular option is overnight oats and here are some ways to get it right.

So on toward these delicious instant oatmeal jars.

1 tsp coconut sugar

A handful fresh Blueberries

1 Sliced Banana

Pinch of ground or grated cinnamon

How to:

Place dry ingredients and banana in a jar. Pour boiling milk and stir.  Leave for 5 minutes then add berries. Enjoy!
