I’ve always been an oily girl and so the thought of slathering a product to bring more ‘moisture’ to my skin sounded like an absolute nightmare. Believe it or not, I only came to my senses and started using moisturizer in 2017 and I’ve only now started using the right ones.

The best ones for my oily combo skin are by far oil-free, water-based and/or hand-made with natural ingredients. They’re also usually gel formula and fragrance free. I have a few favorites on rotation right now and a couple can also help you extremely dry girls and guys.

3 Must-have Products if You're Looking for the Perfect Moisturizer

COSRX Oil-free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion

This moisturizer is oil free and is perfect for oily and oily combo skin. This brand boasts of minimal ingredients which when you think about it, is all you really need. There is no scent to this and my skin just drinks it up like a cool glass of water. There is no sticky residue and no feeling like something is sitting on your face. My skin feels so hydrated, soft and supple after use, especially when I wake up on mornings. Asian brands are all over now but this one isn’t hype only. I rate this moisturizer as highly recommended.

Theraplex ClearLotion and Eczema Therapy

I’d never heard of this brand before these products were gifted to me for my nephew who has eczema. These products target very dry or eczema prone skin. They moisturize and keep dryness at bay. I am really impressed with these as my nephew has been through many products to help with his eczema and he seems to love these the most. The best part is that they are not extremely expensive and they are free of parabens, fragrances, preservatives, and lanolin. The Eczema Therapy is very thick and rich and glides on with ease. My nephew especially loves the ClearLotion. This  oil seals in the moisture so well as he applies while his skin is still damp from showering. It’s light and absorbs quickly.

Wholesome You Oat and Chamomile Facial Moisturizer

I’m a gel moisturizer kind of girl. Creams tend to stick to the surface of my skin and just stay there. And I absolutely hate to walk about all day with a heavy face. This is the first face moisturizer in cream form that I really really love. I raved about it here as well and I simply can’t stop. It’s hand and locally made, has very little fragrance and is the form of a whipped lotion that is light and airy. Once applied on the skin, it’s absorbs immediately and dries out. So there is no oily or sticky residue. It works so well under makeup as well. Can’t go too wrong with that!

What about you? What’s your favorite moisturizer?
